Who we are
We believe local spaces have untapped potential. Our neighbourhoods become stronger when we open those spaces up to the people who want to create, share and connect. And that's why we're building Venuo!
All across Streatham, Balham, Clapham, Tooting and the wider SW London area, cafés close early, studios sit empty between classes, pubs wait for evening trade, and community halls only open for occasional sessions. At the same time, independent chefs, tutors, fitness instructors, makers, therapists and small businesses are searching for affordable, flexible places to bring their ideas to life.
Venuo bridges that gap.
Think of it as Airbnb for after-hours. Or like Flatshare, but for venues; where unused cafés, studios and halls become vibrant homes for new ideas, new flavours and new community moments.
We take the unused hours in a neighbourhood and match them with people who can make something meaningful out of them, whether that’s a supper club, a workshop, a class, a rehearsal, a talk, a pop-up shop or something entirely new.
Why “Venuo”?
Venuo (VEN-you-oh) is a modern, minimal take on venue, with an “o” that represents openness, opportunity and ongoing possibilities. A small word with a big purpose: helping local spaces do more for the people who live around them.
